Ivy League Graduate Tutors understand that learning differences oftentimes interfere with both basic and higher level skills in both children and adult students. Learning disabilities may affect a student’s ability to learn basic skills, including Math, Reading, and/or Writing. Higher level skills including organization, processing, attention, memory, and academics may also be impacted.
For these reasons, we develop individualized study plans that are highly effective for aiding these students with their academic and test prep studies. We strive to meet the student’s needs and work in conjunction with their teachers, guidance counselors, and parents to ensure success in academic and social environments. We work with the IEPs and all test accommodations that students receive on school exams and standardized tests.
"Fredric worked with our son for almost 9 months once a week to prepare for the ACT exam. He was punctual, thorough, patient and professional. Our son has cognitive processing difficulties and APD; he benefited tremendously from Fredric's teaching style. On his first try, my son received a composite score much higher than anyone expected largely because of his comfort with the exam which decreased his anxiety and the confidence that he brought to the test because of his preparation."

"My son, who has reading and writing disabilities, needed a special tutor to help him complete his homework assignments and prepare him for school exams throughout his high school career. He succeeded in his school classes and college exam preparation. He is so grateful for the guidance and preparation he received from Ivy League Graduate Tutors"
Our tutors simulate the testing conditions the students receive on assessments to create a realistic study environment including providing reading services, extended time (50% and 100% extra time) on assignments and mock tests, and scribes. We recommend frequent tutoring sessions, often twice per week, to allow our students with learning differences to reinforce the subject matter and content of interest.
